ACNE THERAPY
The specific IPL acne filter destroys the most common bacteria that can cause acne - without medications, downtime and very minimal discomfort. It's effective on moderate inflammatory acne.

The amount of treatments required will depend on the condition we're targeting:
– Fine lines/wrinkles/skin rejuvenation - 4-8 treatments, 4 weeks apart
– Pigmentation - 4-8 treatments, every 3-4 weeks
– Active acne/acne scarring - 3-9 treatments, 4 weeks apart
– Capillaries - 2-4 treatments every 10-14 days or until capillaries have disappeared.

Depending on what specific skin concern/condition we're treating there can be some down time.
With pigmentation treatments the pigment will go darker over a few days and you will get micro crusting. Once this crusting appears on the area you're able to exfoliating it away. You may not crust every time.
With capillaries you may have some immediate swelling but that will subside over a few hours.
With any light based devices, lasers or IPL it's extremely important that you wear an SPF prior and after other treatments. Any sunburn to your skin can cause these IPL treatments to cause damage your skin and in some cases burns.

No, there isn't much downtime for microdermabrasion. You may be pink/red and slightly swollen if you had extractions performed but this will subside over a few hours. This is the perfect treatment for a skin pickup and thorough skin exfoliation.

For the 3-5 days following treatment we advise the following:
– Ensure your skin remains moisturised and apply moisturiser regularly.
You may get purging of the skin, please try to not touch or squeeze the skin. Just allow it to come through and heal its-self.
– Strict sun avoidance and daily SPF 50.
– Avoid heat inducing activities such as vigorous exercise, hot showers, steam rooms for 24 hours after the treatment.
– Avoid any other skin treatments such as laser, skin needling and injectables for a week.
– Do not wax any areas of the face for 4-7 days after your treatment.

You can have a treatment weekly if you are wanting to focus on a main skin concern or as a maintenance treatment once a month. You can also add this treatment onto many other treatments such as IPL rejuvenation, peels, dermaplanning and LED light therapy.
