What to expect at your microdermabrasion appointment:

We start with a double cleanse, then apply an enzymatic peel for 5 to 10 minutes to soften and prep your skin. Next comes a thorough blackhead and whitehead extraction, because there's no point polishing over congestion.

Then the good part. Your therapist glides the diamond tip across your skin in sections, gently buffing away the dull surface layer while the vacuum stimulates circulation and collagen. Most clients find it genuinely relaxing, like a firm exfoliating massage.

  • None, babe. Your skin might be slightly pink for an hour or so, but most clients walk out glowing and go straight back to their day. It's the ultimate lunchtime treatment.

  • Your skin will feel incredibly smooth and look instantly brighter. For the 3 to 5 days after your treatment, here's how to look after it:

    Keep your skin moisturised, apply regularly. You may notice some purging as congestion comes to the surface. Hands off, queens, no touching or squeezing. Let it come through and heal on its own.

    Strict sun avoidance and daily SPF 50, non-negotiable. For the first 24 hours, skip anything heat inducing like vigorous exercise, hot showers and steam rooms. Hold off on other skin treatments like laser, needling and injectables for a week, and no facial waxing for 4 to 7 days.

  • Every 2 to 4 weeks is the sweet spot. Your skin naturally renews itself on roughly a monthly cycle, so regular treatments keep that fresh layer coming through. Monthly micro is one of the best habits you can build for consistently great skin.

  • Not at all. It feels like a firm exfoliation with a gentle suction, and most clients find it relaxing. Your therapist adjusts the intensity to suit your skin.

  • It suits most skin types and tones. If you have active breakouts, rosacea or very sensitive skin, we may recommend a gentler option or adjust your treatment. We'll always assess your skin first and treat what's actually in front of us.
